Nero d’Avola is grown all over Sicily. Depending on the land, the different micro-climatic conditions and the cultivation practices, it is able to give fruity, warm, intense, austere or elegant wines. The most typical amongst its fruity descriptors is the blueberry flavor. In some lands it can give wines with balsamic tertiary hints (especially eucalyptus) or earthy hints.

The Sala family inherited the plot, once the dowry of one of the great Marsala cellars, from their great-grandmother Dora. Michele, third generation, has maintained the prevalence of cultivation of Grillo. He supported the microclimatic characteristics, favoring plants with a north-south row direction to keep the bunches in the shade for a few hours.
Vinification and finishing
The must remains in contact with the skins for about 20 hours, after which it is separated with a pneumatic press and filtered. Fermentation with the Martinotti method (Charmat) and permanence of the sparkling wine in the autoclave for at least 2 months.
Tasting notes
Intense, bright pink color. Very fine and long-lasting perlage. Delicate aromas of berries and wild strawberries. In the mouth the acidity is well balanced by the softness and tingling of the small bubbles; evident taste of wild strawberries, which remains long even in the aftertaste. Harmonious and balanced.
